The Patient Services Coordinator in the Dentistry department is responsible for provision of excellent customer service, patient registration and documentation, appointment scheduling, and patient flow in the dental and optometry departments. This is a highly visible position, with extensive patient contact, both in person and by telephone.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to: providing excellent customer service to all clients; managing client phone calls and inquires; scheduling appointments; coordinating patient registration and documentation; obtaining accurate insurance eligibility information; and performing data entry.

You must be available to work until 7 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays & available on Saturday 8 am to 1 pm.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school graduate or GED
  • Two years of dental and/or healthcare administration/front desk office experience required
  • Dental administrative and/or optometry office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Dentrix preferred
  • Experience receiving and reconciling payments
  • Prior computer experience required, including familiarity with basic computer software (Microsoft Office)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
  • Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment preferred
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required
